Job summary

MemorialCare Medical Group in Lakewood, CA is seeking an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our OB/Gyn and Family Medicine team. This is a 100% outpatient role with daytime hours and no after-hours call.

The position includes performing histories and exams, contraception implantation, prenatal OB care, and interpretation of labs. EMR is Epic, and a supportive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Women’s Health or related NP/PA experience; 3+ years preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in Obstetrics strongly preferred.
• Experience with Epic EMR system highly preferred.
• California NP licensure or PA licensure required.
• NPI and DEA numbers required.
• Board certification in Women’s Health preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations.
• Implant contraception (e.g., IUD placement, Nexplanon, etc.).
• See new OB patients and provide prenatal care throughout all stages of pregnancy.
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.

Base Salary Range*:$126,000 to $158,000

Position Summary

Practice Information & Position Details

• Employment opportunity with MemorialCare Medical Group
• 100% Outpatient
• Hours of operation:Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• No after hours call
• Average 15 to 21 patients per day
• EMR: Epic
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations

Experience

• 1+ year of experience in Women’s Health or related field as a NP or PA; 3+ years preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in Obstetrics strongly preferred

Education & Licensure

• California Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing licensure or California Physician Assistant license
• Current, active, unrestricted licensure as an NP or PA
• Successful completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Board certification in Women’s Health (Preferred)
• Current BLS
• NPI and DEA
