The Registration Representative plays a key role in supporting patient access and care by scheduling appointments, answering incoming calls, registering patients, verifying insurance and demographic information, collecting payments, and assisting with healthcare coverage applications. This position partners with Care Teams to ensure efficient, patient-centered service while maintaining accurate documentation in the practice management system. The ideal candidate provides exceptional customer service, communicates professionally with patients and staff, supports clinic operations, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and healthcare regulations. This role contributes to a welcoming, organized, and efficient environment that advances the mission of Lawndale Christian Health Center.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Candidates should have experience in customer service, administrative support, healthcare registration, or a clinical setting. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with diverse patients, visitors, and staff. Basic computer proficiency, experience with Microsoft Office, and a typing speed of at least 45 WPM are required; telephone and insurance knowledge are a plus. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to multitask, solve problems, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
