Summary: Under general supervision and according to established procedures, this role involves obtaining all pertinent information to ensure the Medical Centers' financial and patient databases are accurate and complete. The position routinely provides counseling and education to patients, families, or representatives regarding financial responsibilities. It includes interpreting and reviewing physician orders for laboratory services, documenting verbal and written orders, and facilitating accurate testing and billing. The role also encompasses performing admissions and registrations, maintaining and tracking census, bed, and unit assignments. During the third shift, the role provides Administrative Associate B services in the Emergency Department, manages medical records and cardiology reports to expedite patient evaluation and treatment, and faxes medical documentation to other hospitals to support positive outcomes and continuity of care.
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required. Computer experience is required. Experience in a hospital or physician’s office setting is preferred.
Experience: 3-4 years in an equivalent position.
