Job summary

Wayne HealthCare in Greenville, OH, is seeking a part-time Patient Access Assistant for the third shift (16 hours per week). The role requires every other weekend and holiday rotation and offers an hourly wage of $15.00 to $17.00.

You will be cross-trained across multiple areas, greet patients, assist with insurance information, input data into computer systems, and support the department to ensure timely and accurate task completion.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Office Assistant or similar education preferred.
• Knowledge of various common office machines.
• Strong knowledge of computers and varied software.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign patients to a hospital room and interview incoming patients.
• Explain hospital policies regarding deposits, parking, personal items and visitation.
• Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits if information is available.
• Input patient information into necessary computer systems on time and accurately.
• Greet patients in a professional and polite manner at all times.
• Relieve the cashier and telecommunications operator as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Provide strong communication within the department and with other areas of the facility.
• Present a professional appearance at all times.
