• Schedules patients for outpatient procedures.
• Registers patients for outpatient procedures.
• Registers and pre-registers patients for scheduled procedures including phone registration.
• Recepts and registers ED patients.
• Reviews and updates demographic information; witnesses signatures on registration forms.
• Verifies insurance on all patients and places a note under each account.
• Reviews registrations for errors.
• Scans all registration documents once completed.
• Collects co pays and or deductibles when applicable.
• Prepares a daily deposit and balances out with the next employee.
• Performs as a relief person for switchboard.
• Performs multiple tasks simultaneously keeping information organized for processing.
• Ensures that customer service policies and guidelines are followed.
• Communicates well with all customers including physicians and hospital staff.
