Job description

Join to apply for the Registrar - Imaging role at DCH Health System.

The Registrar is responsible for the efficient, orderly, and expeditious pre-admission and admission of patients.

  1. Enters patient financial and personal demographics into the computer accurately and promptly.
  2. Obtains signatures, copies, and scans of identification and healthcare coverage; documents reasons if this information is unattainable.
  3. Verifies insurance benefits and coverage; obtains pre-certifications, referrals, or authorizations as required; communicates financial responsibilities to patients/guarantors.
  4. Follows Front End Collections Policies.
  5. Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, hospital staff, and other stakeholders both orally and in writing.
DCH Standards
  • Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction, and financial standards as outlined in performance evaluations.
  • Performs compliance requirements per Employee Handbook.
  • Adheres to DCH Behavioral Standards, fostering positive relationships with patients, families, coworkers, and self.
  • Uses electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software, and intranet.
  • Follows all DCH Health System policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, good clerical skills, ability to work courteously under stress, excellent customer service skills, and preferred healthcare experience with basic medical terminology knowledge.
