Department Summary

The Registrar's Office provides support services to students, faculty, staff and other constituents in the areas of academic advising support programs, course scheduling, enrollment, degree verification, transfer articulation, test credit, athletic certification and maintenance of student academic records, as well as handles state and federal reporting.

Position Overview

This position supports the Academic Advising Support area in the Registrar's Office and is responsible for facilitating processes efficiently for the maintenance and coordination of the degree audit system. Work is performed within various student platforms and information systems, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of academic data. This role requires maintaining various tracking documents that keep the area moving forward, prepping program proposals for team members, assisting in maintaining the accuracy of student records, and coordinating posting documents to the UNT website, as well as coordinating advisor trainings and the team calendar.
This position requires a detail driven critical thinker, is technically proficient in diverse software platforms and understands interdependencies. Registrar Coordinators assist with the coordination of daily operations. The services and processing in this area directly affects enrollment and retention.


Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree and two years of office administration experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple ongoing responsibilities.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.


Job Duties


  • Interprets policy and aids stakeholders in resolution of problems including troubleshooting for their area of specialization.

  • Provides feedback on business processes for continuous improvement to support excellent student service and overall institutional and student success.

  • Performs system testing related to platform upgrades and business process changes.

  • Drafts and updates internal business process documentation.

  • Prepares, analyzes and monitors reports and maintains statistical data on productivity output.

  • Rapidly learns a variety of complex software systems and maintains technical proficiency to process, research, and respond to customer requests.
