Job summary

Clinch Valley Health in Richlands, VA, is seeking a Registrar for full-time evenings. This onsite role manages patient flow, collects demographic and insurance data, and handles admissions, pre-admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure smooth patient experiences.

Applicants should have a high school diploma; an associate degree is preferred and 1 year of medical office experience is strongly preferred. Benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Pay Range:$15.27-$18.86 per hour.

How you'll contribute

A Registrar who excels in this role:

• Directs patients and visitors while promoting positive guest relations.
• Accurately obtains demographic and insurance information, and is responsible for upfront collections.
• Is responsible for the Admission/Registration, Pre-Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers of patients.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Associate's degree is preferred.

• 1 year of experience working in a medical/business office setting is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience working with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance rules and regulations strongly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is strongly preferred.
