Boulevard Pet Hospital in Castro Valley, CA is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team in a full-time role. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on nursing care, manage IV catheters, monitor anesthesia, perform dental cleanings, and support veterinarians with procedures.

Formación

• Current RVT/LVT/CVT credential in good standing.
• 3+ years of Veterinary Technician experience preferred.
• Experience with IV catheter placement, intubation, and dental cleanings.
• Strong anesthesia monitoring and patient-care skills.
• Excellent communication and client-service skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the veterinary team.
• Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced general practice environment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide high-quality nursing care for veterinary patients.
• Place and maintain IV catheters.
• Intubate and monitor patients under anesthesia.
• Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and surgery.
• Assist veterinarians with medical and surgical procedures.
• Collect and process laboratory samples.
• Monitor patients during anesthesia and provide appropriate recovery care.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Obtain and record patient histories, weights, and vital signs.
• Educate clients regarding medications, treatments, and home-care instructions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and a clean, organized treatment area.
