New Palestine Veterinary Clinic in Indiana seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) / Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our three-doctor small animal team. This full-time position emphasizes high-quality medicine, low-stress patient care, and teamwork while offering a four-day work week and no nights or holidays.

The role supports wellness and sick visits, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and more, with opportunities for growth, mentoring, and quarterly bonuses.

• Registered Veterinary Technician credentials or comparable experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Strong technical skills in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, lab work, radiology, diagnostics, and patient handling.

Responsabilidades

• Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vitals, and patient assessments.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
• Run in-house lab work, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, and other diagnostics.
• Assist with radiographs, diagnostics, and basic imaging.
• Use Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques to keep patients safe and comfortable.
• Keep treatment and exam areas clean, stocked, and organized.
• Follow established infection-control protocols.
• Partner with veterinarians and teammates to keep patient care moving smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As our Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) / Experienced Veterinary Assistant, you’ll be an active part of patient care every day. Responsibilities may vary based on hospital needs as well as your experience, training, certifications, credentials, and assigned responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) credentials or solid hands-on experience as a veterinary assistant; veterinary technician licensure is welcomed but not required
• Confident venipuncture and IV catheter placement skills
• Experience with laboratory testing and diagnostics
