Job summary

Creekside Animal Hospital in West Lafayette, IN seeks an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and work at the top of their license. You will access advanced diagnostics including CT and ultrasound, with AI-assisted tools and structured CE for growth.

You will perform anesthesia monitoring during surgeries, assist in dental radiography, support client communication, and collaborate with veterinarians in outpatient care.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standing RVT license in Indiana

Job description

Creekside Animal Hospital is seeking an experiencedRegistered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team!

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled, outgoing technicians who want towork at the top of their license, expand their technical abilities, and make meaningful connections with clients and their pets. Creekside offers access to advanced diagnostics—includingCT, ultrasound, and AI-assisted tools- plus structured CE and hands-on learning opportunities for motivated technicians.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures, includinganesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and full dental cleanings and radiographs.
  • Support efficient exam room workflow and ensure strong, clear client communication.
  • Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.
  • Collaborate with your team and support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient visits, ensuring thehighest level of patient care.
  • Participate incase rounds held several times per year - with lunch included - earning CE credit and enhancing clinical knowledge.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented RVT who are passionate about gold-standard patient care,eager to grow their advanced skills, and excited to work in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Schedule and compensation:

  • Compensation: $ 20 - 25.50 per hour, for each hour worked
  • Schedule: This is aflexible position open to either full-time or part-time. Full-time would include 3.5 days Monday through Friday with rotating Saturday shifts required. Part-time depends on you, but still require rotating Saturdays.

Full-time Benefits Package*:

  • Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of Indiana
  • CE allowance: $500-$1,000 based on tenure and credentials

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Indiana **
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
    • Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
    • Surgical assistance and aseptic technique

**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
