Qualifications

  • 3+ years of veterinary technician experience.
  • Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in Oklahoma.
  • Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiology, meds, and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
  • Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
  • Assist in surgery and dental procedures, including radiography.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
  • Review plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients.
  • Identify patient concerns and support hospital-wide case management.
  • Educate clients and communicate clearly to build strong relationships.

Job description

Crestwood Crossing Animal Hospital is seeking an experiencedRegistered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment—balancing exam room care, client communication, hands‑on procedural support, and leadership of daily team workflow. We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care.

In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows while providing leadership and support to the technician team. Responsibilities will include helping coordinate daily workflow, prioritizing patient care needs, supporting team communication, and ensuring the team has the resources and direction needed to maintain an efficient hospital flow. You will contribute to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit while helping foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
  • Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Assisting in surgery
  • Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
  • Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
  • Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
  • Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service

This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment.

Schedule and compensation:
  • Compensation: $21- $23 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday . Saturdays on rotation.
Full-time Benefits Package*:
  • Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of Oklahoma.
  • CE allowance: $500-$1,000 based on tenure and credentials

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
  • 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standingRegisteredVeterinary Technician in the state of Oklahoma **
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
    • Radiology positioning and safety protocols
    • Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
    • Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
    • Accurate medical record documentation
    • Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
    • Client education and communication
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
