Job summary

BVNS, part of Ethos Veterinary Health, is seeking an overnight Registered Veterinary Technician. The RVT will provide exceptional postoperative nursing care to neurology patients, monitor vitals, perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement, and handle medication administration.

There are opportunities for cross-training with our imaging department, including MRI workflows. Applicants must hold an active RVT license (or be enrolled in an RVT/LVT program) and have at least 2 years of RVT or

Qualifications

• Active RVT license or enrollment in an accredited RVT/LVT program.
• At least 2 years of RVT experience (or 2 years as Veterinary Assistant).
• Willing to learn, adapt, and work independently during overnight hours.
• Strong veterinary technical skills and a great attitude.
• Bonus: Experience with EzyVet.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical and postoperative nursing care.
• Monitor and document vitals and neurological conditions overnight.
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Drug calculations and medication administration (including IV).
• Cross-training opportunities with imaging (MRI) to utilize skills.

Compensation: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour

Schedule: Part-time | Overnight | 12-hour shift | Every Thursday | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (1 day per week)

Primary Responsibilities of our Registered Veterinary Technician

As an overnight Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional, dedicated care to our post-operative patients during their immediate recovery phase. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality medical and post-operative nursing care.
• Monitoring and documenting patient vitals and critical neurological conditions overnight.
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Drug calculations and medication administration (including IV).
• Plus exciting cross‑training opportunities with our advanced imaging department (including MRI scans) to fully utilize your skill set!

Candidate Requirements as a Registered Veterinary Technician

• Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license (or currently enrolled in an accredited RVT/LVT program).
• At least 2 years of experience as an RVT (or 2 years as a Veterinary Assistant).
• Eager to learn, adapt, and work independently during overnight hours.
• A strong foundation in veterinary technical skills and a great attitude.
