Job summary

Basin Run Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant, RVT, or RVT student to join our AAHA-accredited three-doctor team. The role offers a starting wage of $20/hour, negotiable by experience and licensure, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, about 36 hours per week and no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Experienced Veterinary Assistant or RVT required.
• Current RVT license or student status.
• Strong patient care and animal handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Perform venipuncture, IV placement, sampling, and minor lab work.
• Obtain radiographs and monitor anesthesia when needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clean treatment areas.
