Job summary

Dentistry and Oral Surgery for Animals Sacramento is hiring Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join Thrive Pet Healthcare’s new specialty clinic launching Aug 9, 2026. This full-time role supports advanced dental and oral surgery care.

You will monitor anesthesia, perform dental imaging, and assist with complex procedures, while coordinating patient intake, recovery and discharge. A positive, self-motivated team player with strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care).
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred.
• Superior/advanced technical skills in veterinary care.
• Strong anesthesia skills (BP, ECG, SpO2, and CO2 interpretation).
• Positive work attitude, self-motivation, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia monitoring and patient care during dental and oral surgery procedures.
• Perform dental imaging and assist doctors with complex procedures.
• Support patient intake, recovery, and discharge coordination.

Your impact will span hands‑on responsibilities such as anesthesia monitoring, dental imaging, and assisting with complex procedures, to essential support functions including patient intake, recovery and discharge coordination.

Your Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred
• Superior/advanced technical skills
• Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
• Possesses a positive work attitude
• Self‑motivated
• Excellent communication and organization skills
