Job summary

Geary Veterinary Hospital in Walnut Creek is seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians in examinations, anesthesia, dentistry, and in-house procedures, with emphasis on high-quality patient care.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and medical procedures
  • Perform anesthesia monitoring, including patient assessment, anesthetic monitoring, and perioperative care
  • Place IV catheters, administer injections and medications, and perform other licensed technical procedures
  • Assist with surgical procedures, including patient preparation, equipment setup, surgical support, and recovery
  • Perform and assist with dental procedures, including dental cleanings, dental radiographs, and dental charting
  • Monitor hospitalized patients, assess changes in condition, and communicate findings to the veterinary team
  • Perform and assist with radiology, laboratory diagnostics, and other in-house procedures while maintaining accurate medical records

  • Active RVT license required, with strong clinical skills in anesthesia monitoring, patient care, dentistry, and technical procedures
  • Demonstrates strong clinical judgment and the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
