Job summary

Destination Pet LLC is currently seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician at Ortega Animal Care Center in San Juan Capistrano, CA. The role offers a wage range of $30.00 - $35.00 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus to join a community-minded practice.

You will work as a clinical driver and leader, providing anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, nursing, and workflow leadership to support top-of-license care in a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) state license.
• Dentistry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
• Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
• Diagnostics: In-house lab analysis and sample collection.
• Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
• Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.

Your Role – Clinical Driver & Leader

As a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), you will be encouraged to work at the top of your license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset. We follow AAHAutilizationguidance consistently.

You will primarilyutilizeyour skills in:

• Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.

• Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).

• Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.

• Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.

• Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
