Rocky River Animal Hospital in Rocky River, OH, is seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Fear Free practice. You will assist veterinarians, monitor hospital patients, and perform diagnostics while maintaining accurate records in Ezy Vet.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician in Ohio required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Perform laboratory tests, radiology, and other diagnostic procedures as needed; utilize Fear Free techniques to minimize stress.
• Maintain accurate medical records and client communications using Ezy Vet software.
• Educate clients on pet health, wellness, and post-treatment care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
• Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications
• Perform laboratory tests, radiology, and other diagnostic procedures as neededUtilize Fear Free techniques to minimize stress and anxiety in patients
• Maintain accurate medical records and client communications using Ezy Vet software
• Educate clients on pet health, wellness, and post-treatment care
• Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation protocols within the hospital

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The technician must be able to multi-task. They must be able to think quickly on their feet. They must be able to develop positive working relationships with clients and co-workers.
