Job summary

Crysler Animal Hospital in the Kansas City area is hiring a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. Our team supports veterinarians with exams, surgery, anesthesia, radiology, and post-operative recovery.

The ideal candidate has RVT certification, experience in animal care and client communication, and a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners.

Qualifications

• RVT certification required.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledge of common disease states and changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate care instructions and updates to clients.
• Perform lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain medical records and assist with dispensing medications.
• Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean and stocked.
• Follow hospital safety and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Job description

Salary: $21.00-$25.00 per hour dependent on skills and experience, $2000 sign on bonus

Schedule: This is a full time position. Typical schedule is three and a half days per week, and rotating Saturdays. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.
