Job summary

Crysler Animal Hospital in Independence, MO is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and excellent service to our clients. The ideal candidate has RVT certification and experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures.

You will assist veterinarians with exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery, handle animals safely, document medical records, and support lab work and radiographs.

Qualifications

• Must have RVT certification.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Strong client communication skills and knowledge of veterinary procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates.
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Veterinary Technician

Salary: $21.00-$25.00 per hour dependent on skills and experience, $2000 sign on bonus

Schedule: This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of three and a half days per week, and rotating Saturdays. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
