Job summary

Tim Kolb Inc is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our clinical team in Columbus, OH. You will support veterinarians with exams, treatments, and patient care, and help maintain medical records using veterinary terminology.

Ideal candidates hold Ohio Veterinary Technician Certification, have hands-on experience with animal handling, catheterization, venipuncture, and Fear Free techniques, and share a compassionate, collaborative approach to care.

Qualifications

• Ohio veterinary technician certification is required.
• Proven experience focused on patient care.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and support in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and support to animals in a clinical setting.
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures, including animal catheterization, intramuscular injections, and venipuncture.
• Monitor sedated patients and anesthetized patients.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using veterinary terminology.
• Monitor animal health and behavior, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Educate pet owners on proper care and handling techniques.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a high standard of care and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician Certification in the state of Ohio
• Proven veterinary experience with a focus on patient care
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology
• Proficient in animal handling, restraint, catheterization, and venipuncture
• Experience with dental terminology and charting
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures
• Ability to handle dogs and cats using Fear Free methods
