Job summary

Groveway Pet Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join a collaborative, community-focused team. The RVT will assist with exams, diagnostics, vaccinations, dental procedures, and in-house testing, while supporting veterinarians and staff in a fast-paced general practice environment.

Qualifications

• Active RVT license required.
• Proficiency in IV catheter placement, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, and basic bandage/splint application.
• Experience with exotic pets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Triage primary care appointments with accuracy and urgency.
• Provide gentle patient handling during exams and treatments.
• Assist with routine diagnostics, vaccinations, and preventive care.
• Assist with dental cleanings, extractions, radiography, and postoperative dental care.
• Perform blood draws, run in-house tests, and maintain medical records.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and team to ensure high-quality care.

We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) who enjoys working in a supportive, collaborative environment and is eager to develop your skills alongside a welcoming, committed team.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

Key Responsibilities

• Triage primary care appointments with accuracy, clarity, and appropriate urgency
• Provide gentle, compassionate patient handling during exams and treatments
• Assist with routine diagnostics, treatments, vaccinations, and preventive care procedures
• Assist with dental cleanings, extractions, dental radiography, and postoperative dental care
• Perform blood draws, run in-house laboratory tests, and accurately maintain medical records
• Work closely with veterinarians and fellow team members to ensure high-quality, consistent patient care

About You

• Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license required
• Proficient in IV catheter placement, venipuncture, and routine diagnostic techniques
• Skilled in anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, and basic bandage/splint application
• Strong communicator with a warm, client-focused approach
• Detail-oriented, team-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced general practice environment
• Experience working with exotics is a plus!
