Veritas Veterinary Partners is hiring Veterinary Technicians for the Pet Emergency & Specialty Center of Marin in San Rafael, CA. You will work in a fast-paced, specialty and emergency environment alongside board-certified clinicians and dedicated staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement and diagnostic sample collection.
• Monitor anesthesia, sedation, and procedures.
• Place IV catheters and manage fluid therapy; assist with imaging and patient care.

About You

• Registered Veterinary Technicians preferred, but will consider unlicensed techs
• 2+ years working in a veterinary clinic
• Emergency or specialty experience a plus
• Reliable, organized, and committed to providing high-level patient and client care

Experience

• Venipuncture, catheter placement, and diagnostic sample collection
• Anesthesia monitoring, sedation, and procedures
• Placing IV catheters and managing fluid therapy
• Medication calculation and administration (IV, IM, SQ)
• Diagnostic imaging assistance (radiographs, ultrasound support)
• Monitoring hospitalized patients and providing compassionate nursing care
• Surgical prep, sterile technique, and instrument handling
• Patient monitoring and pain scoring, with trend recognition

Compensation

• Base Pay: $34.00-$45.00/hour
• Pay depends on experience, whether you are licensed/unlicensed, and differentials
• Differentials: $3.00/hour weekends, $4.00/hour for overnights
• Registered Veterinary Technicians eligible for $4,000 sign-on bonus
  • Oncology, Ophthalmology, Surgery/Anesthesia eligible for a $6,000 sign-on bonus
• Surgery Technicians On-Call Extras
  • $200 for being on-call, plus an additional $300 for coming in
  • Eligible for differentials and overtime
