Duly Health and Care is hiring a Registered Vascular U/S Technologist to join our vascular lab at the Elmhurst Naperville sites. You will perform non-invasive vascular studies, document findings, and communicate preliminary impressions to the Vascular Surgeons.

This is a 4x10-hour shift role with coverage across Elmhurst and Naperville. The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in ultrasound, ARDMS RVT certification, and at least 3 years of experience in a vascular lab, with proficiency in

• Associate degree in ultrasound or certifications from an accredited ultrasound diagnostic school.
• Current ARDMS RVT certification.
• Proficient in arterial and venous studies including carotids and some abdominal work.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination rooms for patient visits, including cleaning, sterilizing, and stocking supplies.
• Performs all non-invasive vascular testing in accordance with ICAVL standards and HIPAA guidelines.
• Develops a preliminary impression and communicates findings requiring attention to vascular surgeons.
• Collaborates with Lead Registered Vascular Technologist for quality assurance and accreditation.
• Maintains ICAVL accreditation and participates in quarterly QA meetings.

The Registered Vascular Technologist is an experienced ultrasound sonographer specializing in Vascular Ultrasound with the knowledge and skills fundamental to performing all non-invasive vascular procedures.

Patient and Appointment Preparation

Prepares examination rooms for patient visits, including cleaning, sterilizing, and stocking supplies. Escorts patients to exam room and obtains pertinent information for patient/exam documentation, billing and coding.

Non-Invasive Testing

Performs all non-invasive vascular testing in accordance with the Vascular Laboratory’s Policy and Procedure Manual, ICAVL standards, OSHA regulations and HIPAA guidelines.

Provides Preliminary Results

Utilizes appropriate MERGE application to document patient demographic information, including mandatory encounter details such as primary indication for testing, diagnosis (ICD-9 codes), CPT codes and referring provider. Develops a “preliminary impression” based on the data obtained and communicates any finding or pathology requiring immediate attention to the Vascular Surgeons.

Quality Assurance

Collaborates with Lead Registered Vascular Technologist as needed in maintaining ICAVL accreditation as well as the periodic reaccreditation process. Attend quarterly QA meetings. Participate in rotating schedule for correlation process.

Education and / or Certification/License

Associate degree in ultrasound or certifications from an accredited ultrasound diagnostic school. Current Registry by ARDMS for Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Proficient in Arterial and Venous studies, as well as Carotids and some abdominal work.

Experience

At least 3 years experience in an accredited non-invasive vascular laboratory.

Compensation

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $50.00-60.00 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
