Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled Vascular Sonography Professional to support a busy vascular surgery practice. The role spans two office locations with travel between Tampa and Wesley Chapel, and requires delivering high-quality imaging and patient care.

The ideal candidate has RVT/ARRT credentials, BLS, and at least 5 years of vascular sonography experience. Schedule is Monday–Friday, day shifts, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Abdominal, Doppler, OB/Gyn, vascular and interventional sonography proficiency.
• Familiarity with PACS systems.
• Strong communication and independence in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the vascular surgery practice and ensure exceptional patient experience.
• Travel between Tampa and Wesley Chapel offices as scheduled.
• Attend department meetings and support department objectives.
• Obtain high-quality scans by following proper exam protocols.
• Document and report all procedures per departmental policy.
• Confirm patient and exam accuracy using two identifiers before exams.
• Perform venous ultrasound Doppler examinations.

Job Description:

• $5,000 Sign On Bonus for Eligible Candidates
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• This position supports a busy vascular surgery practice and is split between two office locations. Monday through Thursday at our Tampa office located at 3000 Medical Park Drive, and Fridays at our Wesley Chapel office located at 26823 Tanic Drive.
• The role is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the vascular surgery practice, collaborating closely with providers, clinical staff, and patients to ensure an exceptional patient experience and efficient practice workflow. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty environment and traveling between designated office locations as part of their regular schedule.

• Attends department meetings and engages in positive dialogue to support department objectives.
• Obtains high-quality scans by following proper exam protocols and adapting procedures to each patient's medical situation.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Confirms patient and exam accuracy using two patient identifiers before administering exams.
• Performs, documents, and reports all procedures in accordance with departmental policy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Abdomen, Abdominal Doppler, OB/Gyn, Small Parts, Vascular, and Interventional Sonographic procedures [Required]
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to the computer and AGFA Pacs system [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]
• Ability to function independently with little or no supervision [Required]
• Ability to read and write legibly in English and perform basic mathematics skills [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively [Required]
• Ability to perform venous ultrasound Doppler [Required]
• Ability for independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative [Required]
• Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment [Preferred]

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 5+ years experience in vascular sonography [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) [Required] OR
• Registered Technologist - Vascular Sonography (R.T.(VS)(ARRT)) [Required] OR
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)[Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
