Job summary

AdventHealth Vascular Surgery in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams across our vascular services.

The role requires RVT certification and BLS, an Associate's degree or technical/vocational training, and at least 1 year of ultrasound experience. Schedule is full-time, day shifts, with a $5k sign-on bonus and potential float to other practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or technical/vocational training required.
• 1+ year of position-related ultrasound experience.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality diagnostic ultrasound images using proper equipment and techniques.
• Performs ultrasound procedures according to department policies.
• Assists physicians in invasive procedures, ensuring proper lab work and specimen delivery.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the Ultrasound Department and restocks supplies as necessary.
• Follows AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank) in patient interactions.
• Participates in department meetings and adheres to hospital policies.

• Produces quality diagnostic ultrasound images using proper equipment techniques and technical factors.
• Performs all ultrasound procedures according to department policies.
• Follows prescribed hospital safety standards and practices sterile techniques to prevent contamination.
• Positions and transfers patients for exams.
• Maintains adequate records per department and hospital policies.
• Assists physicians in performing invasive procedures, ensuring proper lab work and specimen delivery.
• Incorporates patient, physician, and customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational actions.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the Ultrasound Department and secures and restocks supplies as necessary.
• Attends a minimum of 50% of scheduled department meetings and obtains information from missed meetings.
• Follows AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank) at all times.
• Maintains ethical, professional relationships and follow the “Standard of Behavior” guidelines per hospital policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
