Job summary

The Cardiovascular Care Group seeks a Vascular Technologist to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients in office, surgical suite, or hospital settings in New Jersey. You will help ensure smooth workflow and high-quality care while maintaining patient safety.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for vascular tests, performing ultrasound examinations, and recording data for arterial, venous, and cerebrovascular studies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Registered Vascular Technician.
• Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) or RVS required.
• Associate’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography (CAHEP, ARDMS or CCI); BA degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for non-invasive diagnostic vascular procedures.
• Perform vascular tests (arterial/venous, carotid imaging).
• Record vascular information using ultrasound equipment (blood flow, pressure).
• Schedule patients for testing (ondegree).
• Follow safety protocols and HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in Quality Improvement programs.

Established in 1963, The Cardiovascular Care Group provides complete care for patients with vascular disease. With New Jersey offices in Essex, Passaic, Union, Morris, Monmouth, and Mercer counties, the Group is able to deliver care in both office-based and hospital settings. The Vein Institute provides comprehensive care to patients with venous disease.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Vascular Technologist to assist the physicians in diagnosing and treating patients in the office, surgical suite or hospital setting. Your goal is to ensure a smooth workflow so our patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare patients for non-invasive diagnostic vascular procedures
• Prepare area for the placement of testing equipment; perform vascular tests on patients (including arterial and venous leg testing, carotid artery imaging)
• Use ultrasound machines to record vascular information, such as blood flow and pressure; cerebral, abdominal and peripheral circulation
• (May) schedule patients for testing
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Handle protected health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in Quality Improvement Program and initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned; seeks guidance and direction when needed.
• (May) perform vascular testing in the office and hospital setting

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Registered Vascular Technician
• Maintains a professional appearance; takes pride and ownership of work and works in a cooperative, team-oriented manner
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to handle shifting priorities
• Possesses the physical ability and perceptive acuity (e.g. visual, hearing) to perform all direct and indirect care functions.

Education:

• Associate’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited program (CAHEP, ARDMS or CCI); BA degree a plus
• Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) or RVS required
