Job Description: Ultrasound Sonographer

As an Ultrasound Sonographer, you will perform vascular ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities and other studies as needed. Your role involves balancing patient needs with maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring excellent service experiences for patients.

This position is part-time, working Fridays and Saturdays at our Hialeah and Miami locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations, including creating Venous Flow Maps to recommend safe and effective treatment plans.
• Assist physicians in explaining treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
• Set up and clean procedure, exam, and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
• Conduct additional ultrasound examinations as required by the physician's treatment plan to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Adhere to standard time frames for each ultrasound exam to maintain patient flow.
• Coordinate with office staff, administrative staff, and physicians to review schedules, ensure technician availability, and maintain efficient patient care.
• Maintain high standards of work and skills through continued education and professional interaction.
• Manage equipment maintenance and supply inventory to ensure operational efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program.
• Registered Vascular Technologist, Vascular Specialist, or Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS), or ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
