Qualifications

• Must hold ARDMS certification in Abdominal Sonography and Vascular Technology.
• BLS certification is also required.

Job Summary:

Performs Abdominal, OB-Gyn and Vascular ultrasound procedures. Understands and utilizes ICAVL protocols when performing Vascular exams. Exercises independent judgment per protocol to complete Diagnostic exams ordered. Works under the direction of the Ultrasound Supervisor/ Vascular Lab Technical Director. Adheres to established procedures and consults with supervisor. Accesses and utilizes the hospital and radiology information systems including PACS. Schedule flexibility with the possibility of being on-call.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

1. ARDMS certification in Abdominal Sonography required.
2. Certification in Vascular Technology required by May 1, 2011.
3. Certified as one of the following:
1. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
2. Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
3. Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RT(VS))
4. ARDMS certification in OB-GYN Sonography preferred.
5. BLS Certification from American Heart Association.
