The Cardiovascular Care Group is seeking a Vascular Technologist to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients in the office, surgical suite, or hospital setting. You will ensure a smooth workflow so our patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for vascular tests, operating ultrasound equipment, and assisting with scheduling and HIPAA compliance. The role emphasizes teamwork and a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Registered Vascular Technician.
• Ability to work under pressure and to handle shifting priorities.
• Demonstrates professional appearance and cooperative team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for non-invasive diagnostic vascular procedures.
• Prepare area for testing equipment and perform vascular tests (arterial/venous legs, carotid imaging).
• Record vascular information using ultrasound machines (blood flow, pressure, cerebral, abdominal, peripheral).
• Schedule patients for testing where needed.
• Follow safety protocols for equipment operation and HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives.
• Perform duties in office and hospital settings as needed.

Established in 1963, The Cardiovascular Care Group provides complete care for patients with vascular disease. With New Jersey offices in Essex, Passaic, Union, Morris, Monmouth, and Mercer counties, the Group is able to deliver care in both office-based and hospital settings. The Vein Institute provides comprehensive care to patients with venous disease.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Vascular Technologist to assist the physicians in diagnosing and treating patients in the office, surgical suite or hospital setting. Your goal is to ensure a smooth workflow so our patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare patients for non-invasive diagnostic vascular procedures
• Prepare area for the placement of testing equipment; perform vascular tests on patients (including arterial and venous leg testing, carotid artery imaging)
• Use ultrasound machines to record vascular information, such as blood flow and pressure; cerebral, abdominal and peripheral circulation
• (May) schedule patients for testing
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Handle protected health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in Quality Improvement Program and initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned; seeks guidance and direction when needed.
• (May) perform vascular testing in the office and hospital setting

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Registered Vascular Technician
• Maintains a professional appearance; takes pride and ownership of work and works in a cooperative, team-oriented manner
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to handle shifting priorities
• Possesses the physical ability and perceptive acuity (e.g. visual, hearing) to perform all direct and indirect care functions.

Education:

• Associate’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited program (CAHEP, ARDMS or CCI); BA degree a plus
• Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) or RVS required
