Job summary

The Cardiovascular Care Group is seeking a Vascular Technologist to support physicians in diagnosing and treating patients across office, surgical suite, and hospital settings. The role focuses on ensuring smooth workflow so patients receive optimal care.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for non-invasive vascular procedures, performing tests and recording vascular data with ultrasound, and adhering to HIPAA and safety protocols. This is a day shift position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Registered Vascular Technician.
• Associate’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited program (CAHEP, ARDMS or CCI). BA degree is a plus.
• Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) or RVS required.
• Professional appearance and team-oriented, able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for non-invasive diagnostic vascular procedures.
• Prepare area for testing equipment and perform vascular tests (arterial/venous, carotid imaging).
• Record vascular information using ultrasound machines (blood flow, pressure, cerebral/peripheral circulation).
• Monitor vitals and assist with rooming patients as back up to MA.
• Follow safety protocols and HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in Quality Improvement programs and initiatives.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Vascular Technologist to assist the physicians in diagnosing and treating patients in the office, surgical suite or hospital setting. Your goal is to ensure a smooth workflow so our patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare patients for non-invasive diagnostic vascular procedures
• Prepare area for the placement of testing equipment; perform vascular tests on patients (including arterial and venous leg testing, carotid artery imaging)
• Use ultrasound machines to record vascular information, such as blood flow and pressure; cerebral, abdominal and peripheral circulation
• During procedures, monitor patient’s vital signs/assist with rooming patients as back up to MA
• (May) schedule patients for testing
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Handle protected health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in Quality Improvement Program and initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned; seeks guidance and direction when needed.
• (May) perform vascular testing in the office and hospital setting

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Registered Vascular Technician
• Maintains a professional appearance; takes pride and ownership of work and works in a cooperative, team-oriented manner
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to handle shifting priorities
• Possesses the physical ability and perceptive acuity (e.g. visual, hearing) to perform all direct and indirect care functions.

Education:

• Associate’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited program (CAHEP, ARDMS or CCI); BA degree a plus
• Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) or RVS required
