Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Allied Health required.

• RVT designation from ARDMS and/or RVS from CCI required.
• Solid understanding of vascular anatomy and hemodynamics.
• 1–2 years in a related clinical Allied Health field.

Job description

Join the award-winning cardiovascular team at Bethesda North Hospital as a Vascular Technologist, where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, non-invasive vascular testing that supports exceptional patient care.

In this role, you'll perform and interpret a variety of non-invasive vascular studies, identify when additional testing may be needed, and collaborate closely with physicians and care teams to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor new technologists and students, contribute to research initiatives, and support continuous quality improvement efforts in accordance with IAC standards and TriHealth Cardiovascular Testing Services guidelines

Location:

• Bethesda North Hospital
• This role will rotate between hospital and outpatient locations to support staffing and operational needs across the network.

Schedule:

• Full-time position – 80 hours bi-weekly
• Day shift
• On-call hours 8am-4pm on weekends and holidays
• On-call rotation about every 10 weeks*

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Allied Health
• Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
• RVT designation from ARDMS and/or RVS from CCI
• Highly developed understanding of vascular anatomy and hemodynamics
• 1-2 years experience Clinical Allied Health in a related field

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for performing all duties related to non-invasive testing, and must be able to interpret all tests performed as well as recognize when further testing may be necessary. The position assists in the direction and education of new technologists as well as students and the collection of research data when applicable. This position also supports Quality Improvement activities in accordance with IAC regulations, and through initiatives as defined by TriHealth Cardiovascular Testing Services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participates in Quality Improvement activities, research studies, ICAVL accreditation process, and acts as clinical educator/resource person as needed
• Maintains appropriate communications with other departments to insure efficient workflow.
• Demonstrates professional growth through credentialing, CEU activities and staff meeting attendance.
• Demonstrates clinical competency in performing non-invasive vascular testing.
• Accurately manages manual/electronic records, charges, logs, and all pertinent data.
