Texas Health Resources' Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic in Bedford, TX is hiring a Registered Vascular Technician for a full-time day shift. You will perform carotid and venous studies and support a fast-paced multi-provider clinic, ensuring patient comfort and precise diagnostic procedures.

Associates degree preferred; RVT/RVS certification upon hire and BCLS required. Travel to surrounding clinics up to 25% with mileage reimbursement provided. Benefits include 401k, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree related field preferred.
• Graduate of accredited ultrasound technology program preferred.
• 1 year related experience in a vascular laboratory required.
• RVT or RVS certification upon hire required.
• BCLS required.
• Excellent communication and computer skills; professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Registered Vascular Technician process.
• Performs diagnostic carotid arterial and venous studies per ICAVL guidelines.
• Maintains operation logs, calibrates equipment, and orders supplies as needed.
• Explains procedures to patients and communicates changes in condition to physicians.
• Conducts vascular laboratory studies per protocols and schedules studies appropriately.
• Maintains the vascular lab quality assurance database and reviews results with physicians.

Here’s What You Need

• Associates Degree Related field (preferred)
• Graduate of Accredited Ultrasound Technology Program (preferred)
• 1 Year Related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (required) and
• RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire (required) or
• RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Upon Hire (required) and
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support Exception Quarterly 90 Days Upon Hire (required)
• Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases
• Have working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have good computer skills
• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
  

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular Technician Process
• Will perform diagnostic carotid arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines.
• Prepares and maintains operations logs and calibrates and maintains equipment, and order supplies when necessary.
• Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical conditions while undergoing vascular procedure.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Conducts vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols.
• Ensures that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation.
• Maintains the vascular laboratory quality assurance database.
• Reviews test results with interpreting physician.
