Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services is seeking 3 full-time Registered Vascular Sonographers to support the VA New Jersey Healthcare System at the East Orange Campus in East Orange, NJ. The role focuses on high-quality vascular imaging and patient care for Veterans.

Responsibilities include performing vascular ultrasound, documenting findings, producing preliminary reports, and communicating results to providers.

Qualifications

• Must hold active RVS certification from ARDMS or CCI and be licensed to practice vascular ultrasound in at least one state.
• Proficient in English reading, writing and speaking to document findings and communicate with clinicians.
• Current BLS/AHA certification is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of vascular anatomy and ability to track disease progression.
• Skilled in Doppler imaging, waveform analysis and intracranial exams.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized vascular ultrasound tests with high quality results.
• Capture, document images and findings accurately in the patient record.
• Prepare preliminary reports for provider review.
• Communicate findings clearly to physicians and care teams.
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
• Serve as liaison between lab and internal/external customers.
• Review consults and schedule studies accordingly.
• Ensure patient safety and infection control compliance.
• Respond to patient and provider inquiries in a timely manner.
• Assist with emergency response and basic patient care as needed.

Loyal Source Government Services is looking for 3 full-time Registered Vascular Sonographer to provide services to The Department of Veterans (VA) New Jersey Healthcare System located at the East Orange Campus in East Orange, NJ.

Job Summary: Registered Vascular Sonographer must provide vascular tech services and quality care to our Veteran population. Located at East Orange Campus in East Orange, NJ. Registered Vascular Technician are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to individuals.

Pay Rate: $54.93/ hr

Duties

• The ability to perform routine and specialized vascular ultrasound test.
• The ability to capture and document images and findings.
• The ability to document preliminary reports in the electronic patient record.
• The ability to communicate findings to providers.
• The ability to maintain supplies and perform equipment care and troubleshooting.
• Serve as a liaison between the vascular lab and internal/external customers.
• Review consults and schedule appropriately.
• Ensure patient safety and infection control compliance.
• Respond to patient and provider inquiries.
• Perform emergency response and basic patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) must be certified in general vascular technology by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI),
• Licensed to practice Vascular Ultrasound Technology in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. All licenses held by the personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses. Contractor shall provide Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) who have current, full and unrestricted licenses in one or more states.
• Proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government’s requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
• Must have an active BLS/AHA (preferred) certification.
• Required to have In-depth knowledge of vascular anatomy and ability to document disease progression or regression.
• Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment and optimizing image quality
• Required to interpret a wide range of vascular studies.
• Required to be proficient in Doppler imaging, waveform analysis and intracranial exams.

Additional Information

• The VA is open 24 hour a day coverage including Saturday, Sunday and Federal Holidays.
• Shift-hours: Day Shift: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Will have a ½ hour unpaid break each shift
