UMass Memorial Health seeks a Vascular Ultrasound professional to perform a range of vascular ultrasound studies and non-imaging testing according to department protocols. The role includes on-call responsibilities and a schedule that includes 7:30AM-5:00PM with 4-9 hour shifts, plus on-call every 6th weekend and holiday.

Required qualifications include specialized post-secondary training (two years), RVT or RVS registration, and BLS.

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) registration per ARDMS/CCI.
• BLS certification is required.

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Hiring Range: $34.51 - $62.13 (based on a full time schedule of 40 hours per week). Please note that the final offer will vary based on scheduled hours. Compensation for part-time or reduced schedules will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

Performs all types of Vascular Ultrasound studies and non imaging/physiological testing based upon department protocols.

Major Responsibilities

• Performs specialized or general procedures according to established departmental protocols.
• Performs ultrasound procedures and non-imaging studies for vascular, and other specific areas as required.
• Operates all types of Ultrasound equipment.
• Performs portable exams in various areas throughout the hospital to include the Operating Room and Intensive Care Units.
• Records images and makes hard copies where applicable.
• Uses IDXrad to schedule and complete exams as applicable.
• Process labels, folders and films.
• Serves as a resource to sonographers, MDs, and students.

Position Qualifications

• License/Certification/Education: Required: Specialized post-secondary training equal to two years of college.
• Registered Vascular Technologist, (RVT) Registration required by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) Registration required by Cardiovascular Credentialing International(CCI).
• BLS required.
