Job summary

BayMark Health Services seeks a compassionate Registered Substance Use Counselor to support patients in medically assisted treatment and crisis management within an outpatient setting.

You will conduct individual and group counseling, perform bio-psychosocial assessments, and help develop treatment and aftercare plans in collaboration with medical staff. Prior experience with chemically dependent individuals is a plus.

Qualifications

• Registered Counselor in the State of California.
• Experience with chemically dependent individuals a plus.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Facilitates and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
