Job summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate Registered Substance Use Counselor to support patients through medically assisted treatment, individual and group sessions, crisis management, and coping strategies in an outpatient clinic.

The role involves collaborating with doctors, nurses and other counselors, completing bio-psychosocial assessments, and developing treatment and aftercare plans. Compensation includes hourly pay in the $26.20–$29.20 range plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered Counselor in the State of California.
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus; must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental attitude toward our patient population.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan.
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans.
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
