Carilion Clinic's Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) at NRV Medical Center is seeking a Registered Sonographer- Vascular (NRV) Flex/PRN. The role covers carotid, venous, arterial and renal ultrasounds, with training responsibilities and a focus on patient comfort.

Requires RVT/ARDMS or RVS (CCI), CPR, and a high school diploma or ultrasound program; experience is not required. Competitive pay, annual CME opportunities, and referral bonuses are offered as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Come join the Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Job duties and responsibilities to include:

Carotid ultrasounds
Venous ultrasounds
Arterial ultrasounds
Renal ultrasounds
Take part in the training of students and staff as assigned.
Create a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.

Experience: Vascular ultrasound experience preferred but not required.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) in Vascular Sonography. ARDMS or CCI. CPR certification required.

Assesses patients for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.
Operates highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).
Trains students and staff as assigned.
Creates a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
Assesses data reflective of the patient status. Interprets information needed to identify each patients requirement and/or specific needs, and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.
Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.

What We Require:

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.

Experience: none

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: ARRT registry/ARDMS in one of the following areas: OB/Gyn, Abd or Neurosonography. CPR certification required.

Other: Interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.

Compensation Range: $33.52 - $50.28

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
