Carilion Clinic's Cardiovascular Institute (NRV) in Christiansburg seeks a Registered Sonographer- Vascular for flexible/PRN shifts. You will cover carotid, venous, arterial and renal ultrasounds, training of students and staff, and contribute to a safe patient environment.

Vascular ultrasound experience preferred but not required.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) in Vascular Sonography. ARDMS or CCI. CPR certification required.
Assesses patients for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.
Operates highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).
Trains students and staff as assigned.
Creates a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
Assess data reflective of the patient status.
Interprets information needed to identify each patient’s requirement and/or specific needs, and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.
Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.
Experience: none
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: ARRT registry/ARDMS in one of the following areas: OB/Gyn, Abd or Neurosonography. CPR certification required.
Other: Interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.
Compensation Range: $33.52 - $50.28 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
