Job summary

Rooks County Health Center in Kansas is seeking an experienced Registered Sonographer to join our Radiology Department. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, provide compassionate patient care, ensure image quality, and communicate findings to the radiologist.

Requirements include completion of an accredited ultrasound program and certifications such as RDMS (AB/OBGYN) and RVT; RDCS (AE) a plus.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited ultrasound training program.
• RDMS (AB/OBGYN).
• RVT (VT).
• RDCS (AE) a plus, although not required.
• Experience performing general, vascular, OB, small parts, and other diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
• Commitment to maintaining current credentials, continuing education, and departmental standards
• Must be highly motivated, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
• Provide compassionate care to patients of all ages.
• Ensure image quality, accurate documentation, and proper patient identification.
• Review patient information and communicate pertinent findings to the radiologist.
• Follow infection prevention, privacy, and safety procedures.
• Maintain professional competency and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
