Responsibilities

Under the direction of the medical and cardiopulmonary directors, the RCP II performs respiratory therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, considering patient age and specific needs. In the absence of a supervisor, may be designated as Lead RCP, responsible for the section or department during their shift.

Qualifications

• State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire, maintained current
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC
• Preferred 2 years experience as an RCP
• ACLS certification within 60 days of hire, maintained current
• NRP certification preferred
• PALS certification within 60 days of hire, maintained current
• Associate or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
