Job Summary and Qualifications

Respiratory Therapy involves assessing and treating patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction. As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will need broad knowledge of cardiopulmonary pathophysiology and complex procedures to diagnose and treat patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under supervision, including medical gas administration, blood specimen analysis, patient testing, and operating respiratory equipment.
• Provide mechanical ventilation, maintain artificial airways, assist with resuscitation, and educate patients.
• Complete documentation, clean equipment, and follow safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Kansas license to practice and NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• One year of critical care experience preferred.
