Job summary

Connections Healthcare Staffing represents a 100+ bed facility near Hendersonville, NC seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for night shift (7p–7a) with every other weekend rotation. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Responsibilities include delivering respiratory therapies, monitoring patient response, responding to codes, educating patients and families, maintaining equipment readiness, and contributing to respiratory care policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in North Carolina.
• BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers ordered respiratory therapies; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition and response to treatment.
• Responds to codes and emergent calls; assesses patient condition and provides appropriate interventions.
• Educates patients and families on illness, treatments, device use, and community resources.
• Evaluates and contributes to respiratory care policies and procedures based on outcomes, research, and best practices.

Job description

Our client, a 100+ bed healthcare facility located about 45 mins from Hendersonville, NC in the Southwestern part of NC near the Blue Ridge foothills, has a need for a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join their team. This is a Night shift position working 7p-7a, with every other weekend rotation.

They are offering a $7,500 sign on bonus!

• Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer;, EKGs, and tobacco-cessation education as ordered.
• Delivers ordered respiratory therapies; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition and response to treatment.
• Responds to codes and emergent calls; assesses patient condition and provides appropriate interventions.
• Evaluates and contributes to respiratory care policies and procedures based on outcomes, research, and best practices.
• Educates patients and families on illness, treatments, device use, and community resources.
• Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory supplies and medical gas cylinders; maintains storage areas and equipment readiness.
• Disassembles, cleans, sterilizes, performs preventive maintenance, and calibrates respiratory equipment.
• Performs all responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
• Participates in performance improvement and required education.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy required.

License

Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in state of North Carolina.

Certifications

BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.
