Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist at the South facility in Springfield, MO. You will provide professional respiratory interventions and support across all phases of patient care, with focus on safety and quality outcomes.

The role requires graduation from an accredited respiratory program, Missouri license (RRT) and BLS within 90 days, with preferred Bachelor's degree. Day shift, 24 hours per week, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
• Missouri State License for Respiratory (RRT) and NBRC credentials required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional respiratory care during all phases of patient care.
• Assess and assist in determining a respiratory plan of care.
• Deliver medicated/non-medicated therapies, ventilation, oxygen titration, ABG analysis.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist assesses and assists in the determination of a respiratory plan of care based on physical assessment, diagnosis, and patient history. The Registered Respiratory Therapist may provide medicated and non-medicated therapies, invasive and noninvasive ventilation, oxygen administration and titration, diagnostic testing as related to ventilation and pulmonary function as well as arterial blood gas analysis.Job RequirementsEducation: Required: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related fieldExperience: No prior experience requiredSkills: Provides care as appropriate to age of population served. Proficient in safely providing all routine and emergent respiratory modalities. Able to assess patients and provide patient care per protocol. Provide accurate and appropriate electronic documentation. Provide accurate and appropriate education to patients, students and new staff.
