Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital in Atlantis, FL is seeking a PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our fast paced team. The role supports patient care across bronchodilator therapy, oxygen delivery and ventilator management under general supervision.

Qualified candidates will have an RRT/CP license and meet ACLS/BCLS requirements within 30 days of hire. Prior RT experience is preferred, and no travel is required as part of this position.

Qualifications

• Must possess RRT/CP state license and ongoing credentialing.
• ACLS and BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• One year of respiratory therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, initiates and evaluates respiratory therapy including bronchodilators, oxygen therapy and ventilator care.
• Utilizes respiratory anatomy and physiology knowledge to operate equipment.

Under general supervision initiates, assesses and evaluates all forms of respiratory therapy including bronchodilators, chest physical therapy, oxygen therapy and ventilator care. Exercises technical knowledge in respiratory anatomy, physiology and pathology as well as the design and operations of respiratory therapy equipment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
• Bachelors Degree, or Vocational School Graduate, or Associate Degree
