Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a Full-Time Nights position. The incumbent will perform bronchodilator therapies, chest physiotherapy, oxygen delivery, and ventilator care under supervision, applying knowledge of respiratory anatomy and equipment operation.

Qualifications include state-registered RT credentials and a minimum of a vocational or associate degree; ACLS/BLS/NRP/PALS must be obtained within 30 days. Travel is not required.

Qualifications

• RRT/RCP licensure or state credential required.
• Vocational school graduate or associate degree in respiratory therapy.
• ACLS, BCLS, PALS and NRP must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, assesses and evaluates all forms of respiratory therapy including bronchodilators, chest physical therapy, oxygen therapy and ventilator care.
• Operates and maintains respiratory care equipment and ventilator systems; applies respiratory therapy protocols as directed.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under general supervision initiates, assesses and evaluates all forms of respiratory therapy including bronchodilators, chest physical therapy, oxygen therapy and ventilator care. Exercises technical knowledge in respiratory anatomy, physiology and pathology as well as the design and operations of respiratory therapy equipment.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
• Vocational School Graduate, or Associate Degree
