Job summary

University Hospitals UH Conneaut Medical Center is seeking a part-time Registered Respiratory Therapist for night shifts. The role involves applying respiratory support in acute care, with supervision, aligned to the hospital's mission and standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory required or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory required.
• 1+ years of Respiratory Therapy experience strongly preferred.
• RRT is required.
• BLS is required.
• PALS preferred.
• Current Ohio license as an RCP required.
• AARC membership required within 6 months of hire.
• NRP certification required within 6 months.

A Brief Overview

The therapist is learning and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of his/her hospital or care facility. This therapist performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory therapy with minimum supervision.

Education

Work Experience

• 1+ years Respiratory Therapy (Strongly Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred)
• Current RCP Ohio License granted by the Ohio Medical Board (Required)
• AARC membership within 6 months of hire date (Required)
• NRP Certified (Neonatal facilities) (Required within 6 Months)

Position Details/Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of recent, critical care experience is strongly preferred. Must be able to work independently.The position is for (1) 12 hour shift per week and every 3rd weekend with rotating holidays: night shift.
