Job summary

Baptist Health in Northeast Florida is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our free-standing Emergency Department Silverleaf. This is a full-time, day shift opportunity in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist, BLS, and ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred. Responsibilities include assessing and treating breathing disorders, administering therapies, ventilator management, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Certificate required for respiratory therapist.
• AS degree preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS preferred.
• PALS preferred.
• NRP certification preferred.
• Florida license as Respiratory Therapist required.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders
• Administering respiratory therapies
• Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Providing patient education and support on proper breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes
• Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Responsibilities
