Job summary
Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, driving outcomes and quality of life through expert care.
The role offers 12-hour night shifts with differential pay and opportunities for career advancement, including preceptor and leadership pathways.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in respiratory therapy required.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) certification.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner license NM.
- BLS required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with bronchoscopy procedures and monitor consciousness, cardiovascular and pulmonary status.
- Initiate ventilator protocols and coordinate ventilator management.
- Perform advanced airway care including tracheostomy changes, extubation, and intubation.
- Initiate and monitor high-frequency ventilators and nitric oxide delivery as prescribed.
- In NICU, perform surfactant delivery, intubation, and attend high-risk deliveries.
- Optional procedures: transport team, intubation, and backup charge therapist.
