Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM seeks a compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist to assess, diagnose and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

The position requires an Associate degree in respiratory therapy, NBRC credentials, NM licensure, and BLS; ACLS/PALS are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner-NM license.
• BLS certification (and ACLS and/or PALS).
• Six months to one year of experience in critical care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with bronchoscopy procedures and monitors cardiovascular and pulmonary status; administers IV conscious sedation and reversal agents.
• Initiates ventilator protocols and manages ventilator support.
• Performs advanced airway care including tracheostomy changes, extubation, and intubation; operates high-frequency ventilators.
• Performs NICU therapies such as surfactant delivery and attends high-risk deliveries.
